Multimillion-Dollar Deal Expands Use of Cloud On-Ramps and Multiple Carriers

DALLAS, October 16, 2019 — Companies today are developing hybrid solutions to boost collaboration, insights, innovation and efficiency. Business leaders are also taking a closer look at new opportunities to improve customer engagement, which ultimately impacts customer loyalty and the bottom line.

One such company is SYKES, a leading provider of multichannel demand generation and customer engagement services for Global 2000 companies and their end customers. SYKES recently signed a two-year contract with Evoque Data Center Solutions, a global colocation services company. SYKES, an existing Evoque customer, will utilize two US-based Evoque Internet Data Centers under the new agreement.

SYKES can now take advantage of Evoque’s recently added multi-cloud connectivity options in both locations, enabling the company to scale its business as its model transforms into a more distributed architecture, with call center representatives working remotely but still requiring access to all the necessary applications and tools required to effectively do their jobs.

“Leveraging multiple Evoque locations gives more flexibility to SYKES for balancing workloads as staffing demand ebbs and flows across the United States to meet customer demands,” said Michael Mallory, Vice President of IT Infrastructure and Engineering. “This will also allow us to implement new opportunities, expanding our footprint. By implementing a solution that is a balance of colocation and cloud-on ramp services, we will be able to focus on our core business as opposed to managing our own data centers.”

This successful partnership between SYKES and Evoque enables both companies to focus on the growth of their respective businesses.

“Customers like SYKES will help foster ecosystems in our data centers through the proliferation of interconnectivity,” said Evoque CEO Tim Caulfield. “As Evoque brings new carriers and cloud service providers into our data centers, SYKES will have the ability to interconnect to each new provider, improving their network reach and enabling them to efficiently grow their business, all within the Evoque IDC.”
